Dato' Ir. (Dr.) Lee Yee Cheong is Founding President and Honorary Fellow of the Academy of Engineering and Technology of the Developing World (AETDEW); Honorary Chairman of the Governing Board of ISTIC-UNESCO; Distinguished Visiting Professor at the International Institute of Science Diplomacy and Sustainability, UCSI University; Senior Fellow of the Academy of Sciences Malaysia; and Founding President and Honorary Life President of the ASEAN Academy of Engineering and Technology. He is also Honorary President of the Commonwealth Engineers Council and Distinguished Honorary Fellow of the Institution of Engineers, Malaysia.
