Overview

Kabiné Komara is the former Prime Minister of Guinea (2008–2010) and a senior advisor on international finance and security affairs, and is among Africa's most internationally influential former national leaders.

In the fields of international security and global governance, Komara serves as Chair of the Global Fairness Initiative in the United States and is a member of the Working Group for the Creation of an International Anti-Corruption Court. He has long been engaged in international anti-corruption, financial governance, cross-border rule of law, and global security cooperation. He brings more than 50 years of leadership experience in international financial security, regional governance, cross-border cooperation, and international security affairs, and is highly recognized by ECOWAS, the African Union (AU), and the United Nations.

He has participated in discussions on international strategy, security, and global policy affairs alongside former national leaders including former U.S. President Bill Clinton, former German Chancellor Gerhard Schröder, and former Mexican President Vicente Fox.

As a senior African political coordinator and international affairs advisor, he has repeatedly carried out politically sensitive missions on behalf of ECOWAS and the AU, and has led presidential election monitoring and security coordination efforts in countries including Togo, Benin, and Guinea-Bissau.

He was ranked among the top ten of Financial Afrik's "100 People Shaping Africa" and has received:

• The ECOWAS Democracy Contribution Award, among other international honors.
