InterAction Council
An independent international organization founded in 1983, bringing together former heads of state and government to advance international cooperation through informal dialogue in peace and security, economic recovery, and ethical standards.
Overview
The InterAction Council was founded in 1983 as an independent international organization. Its members are primarily international statesmen who have served as presidents, prime ministers, and other national-level leaders, collectively bringing significant international influence and cross-border public affairs experience. Related participation and exchanges typically carry high-level international backgrounds and public affairs dimensions.
What sets the InterAction Council apart is its long-standing use of informal international dialogue to regularly convene dozens of former heads of state, government leaders, and international statesmen from Europe, Asia, the Americas, Africa, and the Middle East. They participate in the Council's work in a personal capacity, aiming to promote international cooperation and action in the following three priority areas:
1. Peace and security
2. Global economic recovery and sustainable development
3. Universal ethical standards
Through international conferences, policy exchanges, thematic research, and cross-border cooperation, the InterAction Council offers recommendations and directions for action on relevant international issues, and shares them with heads of government, leaders of international organizations, policymakers, and other stakeholders in the international community.
